You probably have more renewals than you think
A typical small business holds a business license, a sales tax permit, a few insurance policies, a lease, a handful of software subscriptions, vehicle registrations, a domain name, maybe a liquor or health permit, and professional licenses for staff. Each has its own renewal date, its own office, its own form.
Most of them live in someone's memory, a desk calendar or a spreadsheet that was up to date in March. Then someone goes on vacation, a reminder email lands in spam, and you find out about the lapse from a fine, a cancelled policy or an auto-renewal you meant to stop.
How Renew Clock works
- Add what you've got. Type items in, or import your existing spreadsheet with our template. From Starter, upload a PDF or a photo and we read the document type, holder, issuer, issue date and expiry date for you to check.
- Choose who gets reminded, and when. Pick a schedule, such as 90, 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before, and the person responsible. Add a backup person who hears about it if nobody responds.
- Mark it renewed. Upload the new document and the item rolls forward to next year's date automatically. The reminders stop, and next year's start.
Why it beats a calendar reminder
Reminders don't stop at one
A calendar pops up once and you click dismiss. Renew Clock keeps going on your schedule until someone marks the item done.
Somebody else hears if it's ignored
Escalation sends the reminder to a second person when the first doesn't respond (Pro and up). Holidays and staff changes stop being risky.
The document is right there
The current certificate or policy is attached to the item, so when the inspector or the bank asks, you're not digging through email.
It fills itself in (Starter and up)
AI reads the dates off your uploaded documents, so you spend your time checking, not typing. You always confirm before anything is saved. On Free, add dates by hand or import a spreadsheet.
Next year is already set
Recurring items roll forward when renewed, with the new document attached.

FAQ
What kinds of things can I track?
Anything with an expiry or renewal date: business and professional licenses, permits, insurance policies, contracts, leases, software and domain renewals, vehicle registrations, inspections, warranties and certifications.
How does the AI date reading work?
Upload a PDF or a phone photo. We pull out the document type, who it belongs to, who issued it, and the issue and expiry dates, then show them to you to confirm or edit. Nothing is saved until you click confirm. Included from Starter.
What if I already have a spreadsheet?
Download our CSV template, paste your columns in, and import. Most people move over in one sitting.
Can my bookkeeper or office manager use it too?
Yes. Starter includes 3 users, Pro 10, Business 25. Each item has its own owner.
Do you send text messages?
Not yet. Reminders go by email, Slack or Teams, and show up in your calendar feed.
Will you renew things for me?
No. We remind the right people at the right time. The renewal itself is still done with the issuing office, insurer or vendor.
Is my information safe?
Documents are stored privately in your account and only your users can see them. We never sell your data.
What happens if I go over 15 items on Free?
You can't add a sixteenth until you upgrade or archive an old item. Your existing reminders keep working.
